About this group
Over the past two decades a number of proposals have been put forward to bring Kilmahew / St Peter’s back into positive and productive use.
The Kilmahew Estate, built in Victorian times, has miles of buried trails, unseen waterfalls and grand old bridges that cross its two burns. Ancient yews and a medieval castle hint at its dramatic past. At the centre of all this is the Grade A listed St Peter’s seminary, a modernist icon hidden within the beautiful woodlands.
For the last two years NVA has been working with individuals, local groups and partners to develop a new vision for Kilmahew / St Peter’s. This is an ongoing process and NVA would like to hear from anyone with an interest in the seminary and surrounding estate to help carry out this vision.
