I am on a quest to get a large group of men wearing string vests on 16th June as a fund raising bid for the Old Basing Baden-Powell Centre. Some of you may have noticed my tweets on this topic with the tag #stringvestchallenge 

I am not sure how many we can manage but the biggest challenge is finding a source of string vests for free or very cheap.  If you know of any stock piles of neglected string bests please contact me at your earliest convenience by responding to this blog!  If you do not know of any string vests going spare please try to spread the word on twitter or facebook; I am sure we should be able to find enough neglected vests if we try!
