The purpose of Scouting is to assist young people in achieving their full potential, as individuals and responsible members of their local and wider communities.
Tame Valley Scout District is the local area organisation that aims to meet this purpose, using many buildings across the area, some of which are owned.
A successful application would provide first hand experience to all members of renewable energy.
Youth members in the EXPLORERS section (14-18 years old) will also gain experience of a project from the initial idea through to completion.
The cost savings on energy by using renewable sources on site would release funds back for the direct pursuit of the scouting purpose across the district.
