About this group
Transition Network was set up in spring 2007 to support Transition Initiatives around the world. Transition Lincoln launched it’s ambitions to the wider public in 2008 by organising a screening of A Crude Awakening at Lincoln Drill Hall to raise awareness about climate change and peak oil.
We now meet on the second Wednesday of the month at the renew involvement centre on Mint Lane (5:30-7pm). We have a social gathering on the forth Monday of the month at the Dog and Bone pub on John St (off Monks Road). We also have a rapidly growing mailing list of people who want to learn how they can become less oil dependant and find answers for all those aspects of life that this community needs in order to sustain itself and thrive. for example how are we going to:
- significantly rebuild resilience (in response to peak oil)
- drastically reduce carbon emissions (in response to climate change)?
